چکیده

A simple model of a high frequency piezoelectric transducer affixed to an elastic half-space is analysed. The problem is reformulated as a modified matrix Wiener–Hopf equation, containing a kernel for which there is no known exact factorisation. An approximate factorisation is obtained, and the resulting integral equation is solved by iteration, in limit that the length of the transducer is very much larger than a typical wavelength. r 2006 Elsevier Ltd. Sound Wave Propagation in Viscous Liquid-Filled Non-Rigid Carbon Nanotube with Finite Length

In this paper, numerical results obtained and explained from an exact formula in relation to sound pressure load due to the presence of liquid inside the finite-length non-rigid carbon nanotubes (CNTs), which is coupled with the dynamic equations of motion for the CNT. To demonstrate the accuracy of this work, the obtained formula has been compared to what has been used by other research...

Radiation Patterns of Compressional and Shear Transducers at the Surface of an Elastic Half Space

The radiation patterns of an elastic wave field generated by circular plane compressional and shear transducers are derived using the method of steepest descent. These patterns contain both effects of the elastic half space and the amplitude modulation due to the finite dimension of the piston source. Behaviors of radiation patterns of the generated compressional and shear waves are shown for l...

3-D Ultrasonic Transducer Modeling Using the Elastodynamic Finite Integration Technique in Combination with Point-Source-Synthesis

In the present paper the elastodynamic finite integration technique (EFIT) is combined with pointsource-synthesis (PSS) in order to efficiently calculate 3-D ultrasonic wave fields in the time-domain. The technique can be applied to arbitrarily layered locally isotropic media and includes the complete spectrum of linear elastic wave phenomena like surface and interface waves, head waves, mode c...

Ultrasonic guided waves reflection from simple dent in pipe for defect rate estimation and parameters determination of axisymmetric wave generation source

In this paper, the reflection of ultrasonic guided waves from simple dent in pipes has been investigated using finite element method and the relationship between reflection coefficient of these waves and deformation rate has been determined. Also, the effect of the parameters of wave generation source on the generated wave field has been investigated using normal modes expansion method. At firs...

Numerical Modeling and Experimental Study of Probe-Fed Rectangular Dielectric Resonator Antenna (RDRA) Supported by Finite Circular Ground Plane

Dielectric Resonator Antennas (DRAs) have received increased interest in recent years for their potential applications in microwave and millimeter wave communication systems. DRAs are normally used with the support of a ground plane. The radiation and impedance properties therefore depend not only on their physical dimensions and dielectric properties, but also on the size of the ground plane. ...
